WHPOA is committed to providing information to our members to
ensure that you are well informed about your community.
We would also like to see more of you get involved in the areas
that may be of interest to you.
With Neighborhood Beautification we help maintain the beauty of the
community, and the quality of life for our members.
If you have issues or questions about your neighborhood, let us
know, so we can see if we can be of assistance.

are interested in local education – getting involved with our
schools, and/or after-school programs that help keep our youth safe
and fulfilled, please share your ideas. |

For
local safety, Neighborhood Watch Organizations play an important role
in making our streets safe and our property protected.
Please let us know if you would like to get involved in this

CITYRIDE
FOR SENIORS & MOBILITY IMPAIRED CITIZENS
For general information
about CityRide, call (213, 310, 323 or 818) 808-RIDE or contact your
nearest
Senior
Multipurpose
Center
.
In order to
best serve the senior and mobility impaired citizens of
Los Angeles
, LADOT offers a service
called CityRide. Its members can purchase Metro passes, taxi rides,
private lift van services and dial-a-ride trips at a substantial discount.

| CityRide
members can use their Metro bus pass to ride Commuter Express, DASH and
Community Connection.
CityRide is a program
for individuals in the City of
Los Angeles
, aged 65 or older and for
qualified disabled persons. As a CityRide registrant, you may purchase a
book of 72 transit scrip once quarterly and use them to obtain MTA monthly
bus pass stamps and discounts on taxi, private lift-van and CityRide
Dial-A-Ride services. The transit scrip will expire on June 30 of each
year. |
