This photograph was found by William Preston Bowling on a German website for rocket enthusiasts and was taken in 1987 at the SSFL and we are asking Boeing to tell us where this platform is on the site.

The photos below show environmental decontamination where they leave contaminated items out to degrade in the weather.  So as the wind blows and rain falls over years, these items will slowly decontaminate so they can avoid the cost of HAZMAT services.  Please notice the areas filled with waste bins, notice fenced in debri surrounding each of these buildings.  These photographs are high resolution so please download them to your local computer and then zoom in to examine the detail.

Notice the activity and boneyards throughout this area.

Contaminated debri bins located in the foreground.

Notice the debri yard (boneyard) on the right middle of this picture.

Notice the tarped equipment in the upper left of this photo.

Mid-left outside of the white building on left looks like the contents to several offices decontaminating in the weather.
